MEADVILLE - Denny Howard Darling, 83, passed away at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 25, 1934 in Meadville, PA, son of the late Dixie Howard and Reha Sherwood Darling. He married Joan Weaver on June 4, 1954, she preceded him on January 9, 2011.

Denny worked for the railroad for many years and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He enjoyed golf, taking care of his yard, photography, hunting, fishing and collecting trains. He loved his dogs and was a member of the Italian Civic Club in Meadville.

Survivors include his daughters, Terry Prutzman and her husband Kevin of Saegertown; and Linda Weikal and her husband Ronald of Cambridge Township; one son, David Darling and his wife Catherine of Cheswick, PA; grandchildren, Brooke Ford and her husband Stoney, Tiffany Darling, David Darling, II, Jessica Prutzman, Kyle Prutzman and Danielle Mansfield and her husband Joseph, four great grandchildren, Olivia, Andi, Reagan and Landon, and his brother William Darling and his wife Elaine of Townville.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Denny was preceded in death by his sister Dixie Pegan.

Services will be private. Denny's care has been entrusted to the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
