Obituary for Carol Ann Reese (Carol Ann Rice)

MEADVILLE - Carol Ann Reese, 81, of Meadville, passed away, Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Rolling Fields Elder Care Community, Conneautville. She was born on August 31, 1936, in Meadville, daughter of the late Victor and Elizabeth Williams Rice. She married James R. Reese on March 2, 1957, he survives.

Carol graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in 1955. She was the assistant manager at Super Duper Market where she was also the union representative, she later worked at Agway Energy. She was a member of Business and Professional Women, Beta Sigma Phi where she served as president, later starting the Beta Sigma Phi lunch bunch, in 1958 she started a card club with friends and they played for four decades. Family was Carol's entire world, she loved her summers at the shore, was an avid reader and Notre Dame and Cleveland Browns fan. She lived her life with grace and dignity and was always put together.

Survivors include her daughter Stacey (Robert) George of Meadville; her son Kevin (Julie) Reese of Homer, NY; grandchildren, Ashley George-Corvin; Jaymie Reese; Amanda (Eric) George-Ryan; Toby Reese; Alexandra George and Kevin Reese, Jr; great grandchildren, Joslyn and Lilyane Corvin; her brother Patrick Rice of Meadville, brother-in-law M. Kent Brace of Meadville; her two life long best friends Roseanne Piccolo and Jeannine McQuiston; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and God children.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Michael J. Rice; sister Mary Beth Brace and infant brother, Kenneth Gary Rice.

Friends and family are invited to call the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335, on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335, on Saturday, November 25 at 10:00 A.M. with Parochial Vicar Tom Trocchio officiating.

Burial will take place at St. Agatha Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association: Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 1600 Peninsula Dr Suite 15, Erie, PA 16505.
