Obituary for Alfreda "Freda" Fritz

Alfreda "Freda" Fritz, 89, of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, April 13, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 21, 1932 in Grafton, West Virginia, a daughter of Gearld S. Gull and Cora L. Gull. She married Robert R. Fritz, Sr. on November 14, 1953. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2020.

She was a 1950 graduate of Grafton High School and was employed with several different banks around the Meadville area for many years. She later went to be employed with American General Life Insurance.

Freda was a member of St. Mark's Church, the Eastern Star, and Card Club.

Freda enjoyed taking her grandchildren on camping trips. She took great pride in caring for her family and making sure they were all happy and well fed with her favorite meals to prepare. She loved cooking, baking, and knitting in her spare time. She traveled for many years with her husband to go work and enjoy their time at the Bloomsburg Fair.

She is survived by a son, Robert R. Fritz, Jr.; grandchildren, Halle Holm and her husband Peter; Lindsay Marsteller and her husband Donnie; Cory Fritz and her fiancé Chris Erdmann; and Michael Fritz and his wife Alyssa; great grandchildren, Arlo, Lucy, Harper, and Jaxon; and a brother, Donald Gull and his wife Edith.

In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by her parents; and several brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Tuesday, April 20th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 4:00pm with Pastor Timothy Jordan, officiating.

Private burial will take place at a later date at Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Freda's memory to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, Pennsylvania 16335.
