Obituary for Alice A Ewing

Alice Ann (McKay) Ewing, age 70, of Linesville, passed away, at Meadville Medical Center surrounded by her loving family on October 18, 2022, after succumbing to renal failure after an extended illness. Alice was born October 2, 1952 in Greenville to the late Kenneth Robert McKay and Martha Jane (Galus) McKay.

Alice is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Kerry Dean Ewing, whom she married on May 1, 1976. She is also survived by three siblings, Kenneth James McKay and his wife Ginny of Warren, Ohio; Daniel Lee McKay and his wife Judy of Greenville, and Mary Beth (McKay) Brath and her husband Phillip of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; nephews, George, Scott, Denton, Kenny, Peter, John, Matt and Andy; her sister-in-law, Cathy Ewing ; and two nieces, Heather and Kristin.

In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her brother, Richard "Dick" McKay; her nephew, Michael McKay; her brother-in-law, Bob Ewing; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Alice graduated from Greenville Senior High School as part of the class of 1970. She ended her working career in 2015 at New Beginnings Church of God as an Administrative Assistant. She was an outstanding wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She made people laugh and loved a good joke. She loved the Lord and shared the good news of salvation with many.

Alice loved her dear pets Boo Boo, Betty, Bandit, Belker, Squeakers, Chloe, Norm, Maggie, and Little Bit.

She enjoyed antiquing, making jewelry, and painting with her sister. She was a wonderful Sunday school teacher. She loved to give gifts for every occasion. Alice will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Road, Meadville with Pastor Curtis Clark, officiating.
