Obituary for Carolyn M. Unger (Bengivenga)
Carolyn Marie Bengivenga Unger, 78, of Meadville, passed away, Friday, January 3, 2020 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. She was born on December 13, 1941 in Meadville, PA, daughter of the late Anthony and Sylvia "Elsie" Abbondanza Bengivenga. She married William "Bill" Unger on May 1, 1965, he survives.
Carolyn was a registered nurse and worked at Spencer Hospital and as a school nurse. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandsons. She was a member of the Eagles and the ICC, and enjoyed the occasional trip the the casino.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Bill Unger, her daughter Cindy Restauri and her husband Andy of Franklin, PA; her son Tom Unger and his wife Christina of Ashburn, VA; six grandchildren, Breanna Unger, Carley Steiger, Joshua Restauri, Benjamin. Restauri, Olivia Unger and Madeline Unger, two great grandsons, Bradlee and Samuel Steiger, three sisters, Antoinette Harvey and her husband James of Meadville; Lorraine Offi of Meadville and Diane Porter and her husband Dan of Woodbridge, VA; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in passing by her son, Robert Unger.
Friends and family are invited to call at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335, on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held there at 11:00 A.M. with Parochial Vicar Father Andrew Boyd officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
