Obituary for Catherine Ann Stevens
Catherine Ann Stevens, 66, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, August 21, 2022. She was born on January 11, 1956 a daughter of Lawrence H. Schreck and Fidelia R. Richardson Schreck. She married Craig M. Stevens on August 13, 1994. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2013.
She was a graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School and was employed with Hafer Truck Services, Inc. for many years as a dispatcher until her retirement.
Catherine was a member of The Epiphany of the Lord Parish - Saint Agatha, as well as American Legion Post #205, The Italian Civic Club, West Mead Firehall, VFW Post 2006, Station 4 Firehall, and American Legion Post #111.
Her favorite things to do were hearing from and spending time with her friends and family, time with her dogs, and she especially loved time spent with her granddaughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Tanya C, Newsome and her husband Damon of Meadville; a granddaughter, Lanaya Christine Ann Newsome; her special friends, Jim and RuthAnn Hafer, Sonja, and Brenda; a brother in law, David Stevens of Pittsburgh; and many cousins.
In addition to her husband, Craig; she was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, William and Catherine Richardson and Herman and Ellen Schreck; and an aunt, Veronica Richardson.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, August 25th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 26th at 10:00 am at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish - Saint Agatha Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, with Father Jeffrey J. Lucas, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Saint Agatha Cemetery, Meadville.
