Obituary for Charles J. Larson

Charles J. Larson, Sr. 91, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 14, 2020 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on September 17, 1929 in North Bradock, PA son of the late Howard Albert Larson Sr. and Viola McClesky Larson. He married his best friend Miriam Hudson on April 15, 1952, she survives.

He attended Scott High School in North Braddock, PA. After his graduation he proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a past Grand Knight of Council 911 Braddock - Knights of Columbus, he enjoyed working on electronics in his spare time and sharing his Christian values. Charles was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Meadville.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 68 years, Miriam Larson of Meadville; three daughters Theresa Ruggeri and life partner Tom Matty of Pittsburgh; Valerie Myers of Cheswick, PA; and Deborah Skelton of Las Vegas, NV; two sons Charles Larson and his wife Sue of Meadville; and Gerald Larson and his wife Libby of Dunedin, FL; three grandchildren, Erica Sobien; Eric Larson and Tricia Ruggeri; also extended family Nancy Marshall and Susan Marshall.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Patricia Ragan; Nellie Larson and his brother Howard Larson, Jr.

The Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335 has been entrusted with the care of arrangements.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic all services will be private.

Burial will take place at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
