Obituary for Doris Gail Wilkes Pringle

Doris "Gail" Wilkes Pringle, 77, of Conneautville, passed away, Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community. She was born on December 19, 1941 in Meadville. She was the daughter of the late Arthur George Wilkes and Freda Roxberry Wilkes. She married Arthur “Art” Paul Pringle on June 5, 1965. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2017.

She was a graduate of Meadville Area High School and was employed by Crawford Central School District working in the cafeteria, seventeen years at Crawford County Care Center as a caregiver, and she also sold Avon.

Gail was a member of the Church of the Redeemer.

She enjoyed listening to music, square dancing, going to the beach, crocheting, putting together puzzles, and baking cinnamon rolls, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Gail is survived by two daughters, Devanie Kiefer and her husband Kevin of Linesville and Kimberly Adams and her husband Michael of Cochranton; grandchildren, Erin Kovach and her husband Michael “Chip”, Justin Kiefer, and Maxwell Adams; step-grandchildren, Michael "Mick" Adams, Casey Adams, and Cole Adams; step-great-grandchildren, Declan and Lillian Adams; and five sisters, Anne Hotchkiss and her husband Robert of Meadville, Pauline Mead and her fiancee Ken Rudy of Meadville, Carolyn Mulligan and her husband James of Saegertown, Linda Young and her husband Scott of Saegertown, and Darlene Keisel and her husband David of Meadville; a sister in law, Donna Marley Wilkes of California; a brother in law, Bob Scribner; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Art, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Wilkes; and a sister, Donna Lippert-Scribner.

Calling hours will begin at 5:00pm followed by a memorial service at 6:00pm on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, with Pastor Howard Roxberry, a cousin of Gail, officiating. Family and friends are welcome.

Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
