Obituary for G. Frederick Whitesmith
G. Frederick Whitesmith, 83, of Conneaut Lake, passed away, Saturday, November 19, 2022. He was born on October 27, 1939 in Meadville, a son of E. Gordon and E. Perilla Frey Whitesmith.
Fred retired from PPG Industries with 32 years of service. He was a member of Pine Lodge 498, Linesville, Scottish Rite Valley, Erie, Zem Zem Temple, Erie, Erie County Shrine Club, Kismet Grotto, Meadville, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2504, Meadville, Fraternal Order of Eagles 4035, Andover, Ohio, North Shore Boat Club, Erie Club, Life Member NRA, Board of Incorporation of MMC, Meadville, Pymatuning Sportsman Club, and Norrisville Sportsman Club.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, David F. Whitesmith and his wife, Amy of Westerville, Ohio; his daughter, Lisa L. Witowski, and her husband, Victor of Fairview; and his significant companion, Eva Ketcham; a brother, Scott Whitesmith and his wife, Karen of Linesville; four grandchildren, David, Bill, and John Whitesmith, and Lauren Witowski Palopoli and her husband, Stephen; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mazie Sousa Whitesmith, February 19, 1997; his sister, Shirley Warren and her husband, Bill.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Pymatuning Sportsman Club, Linesville.
