I was very sorry to learn of Jerry's passing. When he was the manager of the Northwest Savings Bank in Lake City, he was amazingly helpful for me and my business and for my wife and me in our personal accounts. He was always pleasant and willing to share a joke or amusing story. I hope I won't offend you by sharing my favorite one, because I always remember it when I think of jerry.

Jerry was a member the Exchange Club, a service organization in the Girard-Lake City area which met monthly for a dinner meeting. One night at the meeting he looked at me (I am even more bald than Jerry) and said - "Let's do a Dolly Parton." A couple of other guys were standing around chatting. Jerry grabbed me around the shoulders and said "OK. Lets bend over and put our heads together." We did and apparently the effect for the rest of those standing around was a view of two giant white globes, tightly together and remeniscent of a part of Ms.Parton's anatomy. There was applause and guffaws all around.

Jerry and I were facebook friends and although our political opinions diverged in recent years, I always respected his views and he mine. I could see in recent months that his messages were less frequent and more error prone.

I am very sorry for your loss, but I want you to remember the good times with Jerry. He was a great guy and this world needs mor of his honesty and good humor.
I know he is now in a better place.
With deep sympathy for your loss and condolences,

Jim Steadman
