Obituary for Jeanne Marie Aaron (Nageotte)

Jeanne M. Aaron, 102, of Blooming Valley passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 29, 2022.

Born on August 14, 1920, in Meadville, PA she was the oldest and last surviving of the late Leon L. and Katherine (Reuter) Nageotte.

On January 24, 1942, she married the love of her life, F. Leonard Aaron. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2001.

She was a member of The Epiphany of the Lord Parish - Saint Agatha Church and the Rosary Altar Society for the church. She was also a member of the East Mead Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Jeanne "Nana" enjoyed playing all kinds of board and card games. She was a feisty scrabble opponent well into her 90's. The winter months brought out her jig saw puzzles.

She was greatly admired by her children, grand and great grandchildren for her strength, faith, and commitment to her family.

Her family values will be carried on and she will be greatly missed!

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert (Donna) Aaron, Kathleen (Dale Lippert) Maloney, Susan (John) Mead and Marilyn Peterson; her son-in-law, Mark Peterson; her grandchildren, Stephen Maloney, Kristen (Darin) Ashbaugh, Chad (Leslie) Mead, Katie (Derek) Clauss, Laurie (Scott) Twombly, Leslie (Ken) Donaldson, and Matthew (Rachel) Peterson; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Karleigh Ashbaugh, Scarlett Peterson, Hannah and Liam Donaldson and Emersyn and Isaah Clauss.

In addition to her parents and her loving husband, Jeanne was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Kostolansky and Marie Robie and her brothers, J. Mark Nageotte, Vincent Nageotte, and James Nageotte.

Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10 am to 11am at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish - Saint Agatha Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately after visitation on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the church with Father Jeffrey Lucas, pastor, as celebrant.

Jeanne will be laid to rest next to her husband in Saint Agatha Cemetery, Meadville.
