Jerry was known as "The King of Linesville", a friendly neighbor that was loved by all. He enjoyed family gatherings, especially "feeds", traveling to the beach, dancing to the oldies, a life long passion of hunting, fishing, traveling & camping; instilling life skills to his children & grandchildren, advising them to "do the right thing". Jerry never had a bad meal, he enjoyed venison, fish sandwiches with extra onion, braunschweiger, seafood & chinese buffets, varieties of hot sauce, a good roasting ear, duck eggs & veggies from Bubba's garden. He expressed excitement with "Farts Fire", a compliment as "you're prettier than a plate of fried catfish", close to arrival as "prent near home James" & his best advice "don't take any wooden nickels".
