Obituary for John F. Kralj

MEADVILLE -John F. Kralj, 93, of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Rolling Fields Elder Care Community. He was born on September 17, 1925 in Clarksburg, WV; son of the late Peter and Mary Pangerc Kralj. He married Mary Katren Kralj in 1959, she preceded him in death on December 10, 2002.

He was employed at Seco Warwick for 33 years, retiring in 1991 as welder / fabricator. John was a Purple Heart and European African Middle Eastern Theater Medal recipient in the United States Army during WWII serving in Normandy, Northern France. He was a member of the Hayfield Fire Department, Linesville VFW, SNPJ, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was also had a farm which he actively ran while working.

Survivors include his two sons, John Kralj of Meadville and Rick Kralj and his wife Gretchen of Emlenton, PA; four grandchildren, Justin and his companion Kacie and Kyle Kralj and his wife Kara and Drew and Dori Kralj; three great grandchildren, Greyson and Alyse Kralj and Dana Hudak; also his sister Angeline Adams of Meadville.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, John was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Kralj and Peter Kralj, Jr. and sister Anna Constantinovich.

Friends are invited to call the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335, on Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Brigid Church at 10:00 A.M.

Burial will take place at St. Brigid Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hayfield Central Hose Company, 15417 PA-198, Meadville, PA 16335.
