Obituary for Mary C. Farkus (Nigro)
Mary Concetta Nigro Farkus, 94, of Meadville passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Crawford County Care Center. She was born on April 1, 1926, daughter of the late Lorenzo and Bernarda Nigro. She married Stephen Farkus, he preceded her in death.
Mary worked for Talon from 1943 until 1984. She loved to take care of her family and in any way she could she would advocate for non smokers so they could be free of second hand smoke. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Heart to Heart club.
Survivors include her son Steven Farkus of Meadville and her daughter Linda Borchert of Lakeland, FL.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Steven Farkus.
Entombment will take place at Saint Brigid Cemetery, on Thursday, October, 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m..
