Obituary for Monika Kaloostian
MEADVILLE - Monika Kaloostian, 74, passed away, unexpectedly, at her residence on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. She was born on May 6, 1944 in Worms, Germany, a daughter of Hendrick and Elsa Gross Geisert. On November 26, 1964, she married, Lawrence Kaloostian, he preceded her in death on April 11, 1995.
She graduated High School in Germany. She was the owner and operator of Central News in Meadville for 18 years.
Monika grew up in the Catholic Faith, was a member of the ICC, Eagles, and Hunting and Fishing Club. She enjoyed playing cards, being with family and friends, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by two daughters, Ursula R. Chess and Karen D. Woodworth, both of Meadville; two grandsons, Austin and Westin Chess of Meadville; a sister, Ursula Frank and her husband Hans of Germany; and a nephew, Christof Frank of Germany.
Monika is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence and her parents, Hendrick and Elsa.
There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hunting and Fishing Club, 905 Market Street, Meadville.
