Obituary for Nancy J. Lyman
Nancy J. Lyman, 73, of Meadville, passed away, on Friday, March 1, 2019 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Dayton, OH in July of 1945, a daughter of Carl and Adeline (Young) Wolf.
Nancy was a Physical Therapist for 40 years, most recently employed by Meadville Medical Center for over 20 years. She settled in Northwestern PA in 1987, after living and working in various locations across the country, to raise her two daughters, who graduated from Conneaut Lake HS.
Nancy enjoyed traveling, watching sports of all kinds, and doing puzzles and games. She was a selfless and loving mother who would count her proudest accomplishment as being her daughters and granddaughters, who affectionately called her Giga. She was their biggest fan and traveled near and far to cheer them on in basketball, volleyball, triathlon, and most recently to her granddaughter’s swim meets. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two daughters and their families: Mollie K. Hutton and her husband, Randy of Pendleton, New York, and their two daughters, Ryan Noelle and Quinn Kaitlyn; and Lori K. Lyman of Erie and her significant other, Casey Staab of Conneaut Lake. Nancy is further survived by her sister, Patricia Hergert and her husband, Frederick; brother, Walter Wolf and his wife, Dorothy; and brother Kenneth Wolf and his wife, Janelle, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Russell Wolf.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
