Obituary for Paul Douglas Nearhoof

Cambridge Springs - Paul Douglas Nearhoof, 57, of Cambridge Springs passed away, suddenly, Saturday, October 5, 2019. He was born on July 18, 1962 in Erie, PA, son of the late Sherman Joseph and Anna Cherry Nearhoof. He married his best friend, Cindie Smith on April 12, 1982, she survives.

Doug owned the Best Little Smoke House in Town doing deer processing, he also enjoyed gardening, especially edible gardening, planting his orchard and grapes and wanted to get in to hydroponic gardening. Doug was a true gentleman who would give the shirt off his back. He was instilled with a strong work ethic and carried that trait throughout his life.

In addition to his wife Doug is survived by his daughter, Heather Hall of Conneautville, PA; his son Joshua Nearhoof and his wife Amanda of Dalmatia, PA; three grandchildren, Dakota Terlecki, Kimber Hall and Marty Hall; he is also survived by three sisters, Bonnie Laskowski; Belinda Clark and her husband Carl; and Barbara Prindle and her husband Robert; and six brothers, Jeffrey Nearhoof and his companion Russ; Sherman Nearhoof, Jr.; John Nearhoof and his wife Debbie; Randy Nearhoof; Art Nearhoof and his wife Michele and David Nearhoof and his wife Leslie.

Doug was preceded in passing by his parents, Sherman and Anna Nearhoof.

According to Doug's wishes, services will be private.

The Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335 has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
