Obituary for Richard Anthony Loya
TOWNVILLE - Richard "Half Price" Anthony Loya, Jr., 66 of Townville, formerly of California, passed away suddenly, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at home with his beloved wife by his side. He was born on September 13, 1952, in Long Beach, CA, son of Carmen Barba Loya and the late Richard A. Loya, Sr.. He married Elise Spinks on December 3, 1988.
Richard proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club, the members were considered friends and family to him.
Survivors include his mother Carmen Barba Loya of Riverside, CA; his wife and best friend Elise Spinks Loya; his daughter, Sarah Loya of Erie; son Brian Spinks and his wife Sarah of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, Josie and Lucie Spinks; his sister Kathy Valle and her husband Jerry of Riverside, CA, their children Monique and Jerry; and his brother Paul Loya and his wife Stella of Riverside, CA, and their children Adrian and Mark.
In addition to his father, Richard was preceded in death by his son Richard A. Loya, III.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 33353 N. Main Street, Townville, PA 16335.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 900 Ohio Drive SW
