Obituary for Rosemarie Palmiero
Rosemarie Simonette Palmiero, 101, of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. She was born in Meadville on January 18, 1918 a daughter of Joseph and Martina DeMarco Simonette. She married Joseph S. Palmiero he preceded her in death on January 22, 1964.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School and worked at her parents grocery store after her days at school. Following her graduation she was employed at Sun Drug Store in downtown Meadville.
Rosemarie was a dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed raising her children, spending time with her family, being employed at Murphy's 5 and 10 part-time, and pursing her interest in art and drawing.
She was a member of Saint Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church.
Rosemarie is survived by a son, Anthony Palmiero and his wife Loretta of Erie; a daughter, Martha Herman of Meadville; two grandchildren, Dustin Herman of Pittsburgh and Nathan Herman of Chicago; a sister, Mary Rendulic of Conneautville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband; and her parents; she was preceded in death by four sisters, Anne Gattuso, Antoinette Grippi, Josephine Furno and Angelica Furno; and two brothers, Joseph and Samuel Simonette.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff of Wesbury Memory Support for their loving and supportive care during Rosemarie's stay and for the opportunity to continue her love of art including her work in the recent book "A Creative Life."
Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, May 4th from 9:00am to 9:45am at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Saint Mary of Grace, 1085 Water Street, Meadville at 10:00am with Father Andrew Boyd, as celebrant.
Burial will follow at Saint Brigid Cemetery.
