Obituary for Thomas Leonard Boland
Thomas (Tom) L. Boland, 68, of Meadville, passed away, Saturday, February 8, 2020. He was born on July 4, 1951, in Maryville, TN, son of the late Lawrence and Hilda Hilliard Boland. He married Karin Mailliard on March 2, 1987, she survives.
Tom proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was also in the Army Reserves. He retired from Channellock after more than 30 years. Tom was a member of the American Legion Post 381 and VFW Post 169. He loved spending time with his son at baseball games and loved hearing about his travels with Lilli and his baseball collection. He was a good neighbor and enjoyed conversing with family and friends. He was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include his wife Karin; his son, Sam Boland and his Fiancé Lilli Rodgers of Saegertown; one brother Lawrence Boland of Vernon Township; three sisters-in-law; Kim Steider and her husband Steve; Nancy and Kathleen; father-in-law, Gaynell Mailliard; four nieces, Kim,Veronica, Katie and Jullyan; also his nephews Dustin and Lawrence.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Boland, sister Dorie, mother-in-law, Jeanne Mailliard, and brother-in-law Jeff Mailliard.
Friends may call the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335, on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 6:00 P.M. with Father Matthew Kujawinski officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the activity department of the Crawford County Care Center, 20881 PA-198, Saegertown, PA 16433, where Tom's son Sam has worked for the last five years or the charity of the donor’s choice.
