Obituary for Kenneth L. Barstow
MEADVILLE - Kenneth L. Barstow, 82, of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at U.P.M.C. Hamot. He was born in Meadville on May 24, 1934 to the late Leon K. and Marion M. Seeley Barstow. He married Janet L. Snow on January 15, 1983, she preceded him in death on May 8, 2013.
Kenneth graduated from Meadville High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army, worked and retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Meadville Wesleyan Methodist Church and also a member of the American Legion Post 111.
Survivors include his two sons, Larry Barstow and his wife Susie of Conneautville, PA; and Edward Barstow and his wife, Veronica of Altoona, PA; four grandchildren Justin Barstow, Tanner Barstow, Benjamin Barstow and Jessica Umholtz; four great grandchildren; a very close and special friend, Shirley J. Bahr; two sisters-in-law, Judith Scott of Conneautville, PA; and Joyce Dilley of Meadville, PA; and one brother-in-law James M. Snow and his wife Sandy of Meadville.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Barstow.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service at the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335 on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. with Mark Miller officiating.
Burial will take place at Greendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Meadville Wesleyan Methodist Church, 836 N Main St, Meadville, PA 16335 or the American Legion Post 111, 17137 Cussewago Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
