Wilma Carroll Proudfoot Furno, 88, of Meadville, passed away, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Rolling Fields Nursing Home. She was born on April 27, 1928 in Meadville, Pennsylvania a daughter of Charles Edward Proudfoot and Rose Virginia Van Horne Proudfoot. She married Matthew Furno on August 30, 1947. He preceded her in passing on September 10, 2011.

Wilma was employed at Mead Nursing Home where she was a nurses aid and was a member at Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church.

She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, hiking, and being outdoors.

Wilma is survived by three daughters, Patricia D. Bill and her husband Larry of Oil City, Pennsylvania, Kathleen F. Welch and her husband Stephen of Saegertown, Pennsylvania, and Colleen S. Furno of Meadville, Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Angela Lewis and her husband Kevin of Oil City, Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Matthew she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Dixon Proudfoot; and a sister, Rebecca Hope Barbara.

There will be no immediate services held at this time.
