MEADVILLE - Marilyn J. Neugebauer, 85, of Meadville, passed away, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community. She was born on July 24, 1932 in California, PA, daughter of the late Leslie and Gertrude Gillen Smith. She married William Neugebauer on May 28, 1955, he preceded her in passing.

Marilyn was active in the St. Brigid Church being a member of the Altar Rosary Society, Card Party and coordinating all of the funeral dinners of the Church. She was also a volunteer for the Meadville Soup Kitchen and a zoning officer for Vernon Township.

Survivors include three children, William J. Neugebauer and his wife, Jody, of Sandy Lake, Renee Dzurilla and her husband, Tim, of Ashburn, Va., and Brett Neugebauer and his wife, Michele, of Meadville; and 10 grandchildren, Garrett Neugebauer and his wife, Leslie, Riley Neugebauer, Nathan Young and his wife Daffne, Logan Young, Ryan Dzurilla, Christopher Dzurilla, and his wife Jessica; Erin Dzurilla and her fiancé Brandon Jones, Chad Neugebauer and Mitch Neugebauer, and two great grandsons, Landon and Parker Dzurilla.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband William Neugebauer on March 19, 2011 and her sister Marie Banasik.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Brigid Church, 383 Arch Street, Meadville, PA 16335, with Father Jeffrey Lucas officiating.

Private burial will take place at St. Agatha Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Meadville Soup Kitchen, 956 S. Main Street, Meadville, PA 16335.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
