Obituary for Mary S. Truchan

Mary S.  Truchan
Mary S. Truchan, 93, of Meadville, passed away, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. She was born on June 17, 1924 in Widen, West Virginia a daughter of John Schuster and Agnes Lahoda Schuster. She married Edward Truchan on September 10, 1949; he preceded her in death on November 19, 1998.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School and was employed with Talon during the war making gas mask; and later was employed with American Viscose Corporation.

Mary was a member of Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, the church Alter Rosary Society, and Hayfield Fire Department Auxiliary where she helped with bingo.

She is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Leffingwell and her husband Bill of Meadville, Jenny Kelyman of Conneautville, and Betty Noel and her husband Bob of Meadville; a nephew, Paul Kelyman and his wife Von of Saegertown; a niece, Denise McHale and her husband Peter of Meadville; three great nephews, Paul Kelyman, Jr., Justin McHale, and Jared McHale; a great niece, Nicole Kelyman; a great great nephew, Colton Schuster and a great great niece Tara Rae McHale.

In addition to her loving husband, Edward she was preceded in death by her parents; a niece, Cindy Kelyman; a brother, Edward Schuster; and a brother in law, Paul Kelyman.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Sunday, January 14th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:30pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut
Street, Meadville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 15th at 10:00am at Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church with Father Tom Trocchio as celebrant.

Burial will take place at Saint Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335 or Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
